Get Storage Folders back in WL Mail

with 5 comments

If any of you noticed, the “Storage Folders” have disappeared in the new version of Mail. People have wondered how to get them back, and I now have a solution.

1) First, as usual, you have to open Windows Live Mail.

2) After Windows Live Mail is loaded up, click the “Menus” button in the toolbar

3) Click “Layout”

4) Click “Folder Pane”

5) And then, last but not least, check “Show Storage Folders,” and your done!

And now you have your storage folders!

Enjoy!

  3. Thank you so much. Why are the storage folders not shown by default?!? This is especially unnerving when you are moving an entire email archive from one machine to another.

  5. I would like to try your fix but I have no “Menu” option in my Live Mail tool bar. I do have a “Folders” tab but there’s no “layout” option under that.

I did have Storage folders with hundreds of emails stored in them but the whole shebang has disappeared.

    Any advice?
